Cenckiewicz Allegedly Hid Medication Details; Prosecutor Referral Filed

A whistle‑blower alleged that BBN chief Jarosław Cenckiewicz hid the names of drugs he takes in a security questionnaire, prompting a referral to Poland’s prosecutor’s office.

Whistle‑blower Claims Concealment of Medications

Journalist sources say a whistle‑blower approached the newsroom at the end of October with details that Cenckiewicz hid the names of medications in his security questionnaire.

ID of Concealed Drugs and Their Classification

The whistle‑blower provided names of two drugs: one listed as a psychotropic, the other as a psycholeptic that poses life‑threatening danger if overdosed. The claim is that these were omitted from the questionnaire.

Effect on Security Clearance and Court Actions

Following the allegation, Cenckiewicz’s security certification, required for access to classified information, was revoked in July 2024. The Warsaw Administrative Court overturned the revocation in June, a decision that remains under appeal by the Supreme Administrative Court.

Political Legal Referral Against Counter‑Intelligence Chief

In response to the report, PiS politicians filed a complaint with prosecutors against the Military Counter‑Intelligence Service chief Jarosław Stróżyk, accusing him of overstepping his authority.

Political, Medical, and Presidential Statements

Former prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki warned that Poland is functioning on foreign standards, calling the situation a reversal of state order and a national security threat, while pledging solidarity with Cenckiewicz.
The National Medical Chamber demanded an investigation into the leak of sensitive health data, emphasizing confidentiality. President’s chief of staff Paweł Szefernaker denounced the leak as an “outrageous breach of state principles” and a signal of deep mistrust in public institutions.
