Cenckiewicz Denounces ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ Article: Errors, Lies, Sensitive Data

Polish politician Slawomir Cenckiewicz issued a statement on Monday, December 15, condemning a ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ article he said contained errors, lies and exposed sensitive health data.

Statement Issued by Cenckiewicz

On Monday, Dec. 15, Slawomir Cenckiewicz released a formal statement in response to a recent article by journalist Wojciech Czuchnowski in ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’. He claims the piece contained numerous inaccuracies, distortions and falsehoods.

Cenckiewicz said that the article also disclosed sensitive information derived from non‑public records of the Military Counter‑Intelligence Service, obtained through a 2021 safety survey he filed concerning his health, treatment and medications.

Allegations Against the Article

The former BBN chief argued that the article failed to name two drugs prescribed to him by a medical professor during a medical interview, yet still identified them by description, which he says should not pose any difficulty for disclosure.

He added that, on Friday, Dec. 12, Czuchnowski had sent questions to both BBN’s public email and his private number, openly using the names of uncommon medications.

Demanding Accountability

Cenckiewicz stated he would pursue legal actions under the law to hold the author of the piece, titled ‘We Know What Cenckiewicz Took and Concealed,’ accountable for violating his personal rights.

He said he would seek both civil and criminal liability against the author.

Broader Human‑Rights Implications

The politician warned that the article not only demonstrates special‑services interference in public life but also represents a new phase of human‑rights violations in Poland, undermining patients’ rights to privacy, medical secrecy and confidential health information.
