On Friday, just before noon, Ukrainian rescue services were notified that the chairlift at the Zachar Berkut ski resort in the village of Wołosianka, Bieszczady Mountains, Lviv region had stopped with passengers on board.

Rescue operations lasted over two hours, concluding at 2 p.m. State Rescue Service of Lviv region confirmed that 78 people, 39 of whom were children, were safely evacuated, with more than 70 rescuers involved.

After the incident, the resort pledged a thorough inspection of all equipment before resuming service, promising to inform guests when the cable car will be operational again.
