The tool will be accessible from the chatbot’s side menu.

The startup emphasizes that the new function responds to growing social demand. According to its “AI as a Healthcare Ally” report, tens of millions of users daily ask ChatGPT health-related questions, and medical topics constitute a noticeable part of all conversations with the AI assistant.

Meanwhile, experts emphasize that such a solution will not replace – at least for now – consultations with medical specialists.

Education Instead of Diagnosis – Why We Still Need Doctors

As reported by media, AI assistant users should be aware that there is no certainty regarding the effectiveness of generated results and algorithm precision, so they should not entrust diagnosis to artificial intelligence.

According to experts, the use of ChatGPT in the health sector should currently have mainly an educational character.

Interestingly, OpenAI has also presented the OpenAI for Healthcare package, targeted at medical facilities. The solution is intended to support staff in administrative work, particularly in creating documentation and medical summaries.

Selected institutions in the United States are already using these tools.
