Chemical Plant Fire Breaks Out
The incident occurred on February 28 at around 2:30 PM on the premises of a chemical plant on Berdychowie Street in Wągrowiec. According to the Wągrowiec Nasze Miasto portal, the fire broke out in a company engaged in the production of various chemicals. Dense, dark smoke clouds are visible from a distance above the area.
From the beginning, units of the State Fire Service and Volunteer Fire Brigade have been working at the site. Firefighters are conducting firefighting operations and securing the area. Due to the specific nature of the plant’s operations, the operation is being carried out with special caution. At this time, there is no information about injured persons. The cause of the fire is unknown.
Fire at CID-ROL Chemical Plant
The oknonawagrowiec.pl portal reported that the CID-ROL chemical plant on Taszarowie in Wągrowiec is on fire. Firefighters and police are at the scene. As reported, black smoke clouds are visible over the city from many kilometers away.
The situation was also reported by the Wągrowiec na sygnale profile. Before 4:00 PM, it was reported that the situation at the site is still uncontrolled, and numerous forces and means have been deployed to the operation from the Wągrowiec and Gniezno districts.

At 4:33 PM, an update was provided: in connection with the warehouse fire in Wągrowiec, at the request of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship Agata Sobczyk, an RCB alert was sent to persons present in the Wągrowiec County area.
“Attention! Warehouse fire on Taszarowo Street in Wągrowiec. Do not approach the fire site. Do not open windows” – stated in a communication from the Government Security Center. Services appeal for caution and adherence to recommendations. The firefighting operation is still ongoing.
