China Accused of Secret Nuclear Test in Xinjiang

US advisor claims China conducted underground nuclear explosion in Xinjiang in June 2020.

Allegations of Secret Nuclear Test

US advisor Christopher Yeaw revealed in Geneva last week that China conducted an underground explosion in the Lob-nor test area of Xinjiang in June 2020.

The explosion had a magnitude of 2.75 with an estimated power equivalent to about 10 tons of nuclear explosive.

Excluding Natural Causes

According to Yeaw, the nature of the seismic shock did not indicate frequent earthquakes or mining activity common in the resource-rich region.

These vague accusations about China’s nuclear activities have been appearing for several months.
