Warsaw police have dismantled a criminal operation in Kobyłka, arresting four men accused of stripping stolen vehicles for illicit export to Georgia after a raid on a local property.
The Dismantling of the Criminal Network
Officers from the Warsaw Metropolitan Police’s specialized unit targeting vehicle crime identified a criminal group engaged in dismantling stolen cars. The suspects allegedly fulfilled specific orders for parts requested by Georgian nationals, who then transported the components out of Poland.
During a coordinated raid with detectives from Radom, police apprehended three men aged 29 to 47 on a property in Kobyłka. The suspects attempted to flee upon sighting the officers but were captured after a short pursuit.
Seizure of Stolen Components and Vehicles
At the site, investigators secured over 120 parts believed to originate from Toyota Corolla vehicles stolen in Warsaw and the surrounding area between 2025 and 2026. A tractor unit with a semi-trailer was also inspected, revealing a Ford Transit van and a significant quantity of additional car parts inside.
Further investigations will determine whether these components originated from vehicles stolen in Poland or other European Union countries. Experts are currently working to identify dozens of other items recovered from the property.
Arrest of a Georgian Accomplice
During the police operation, a 33-year-old Georgian national arrived at the property to retrieve the tractor unit and trailer loaded with stolen parts. He was promptly taken into custody by the officers on the scene.
Three of the arrested Polish citizens have been charged with fencing stolen goods. Under current law, they face up to five years of imprisonment for their roles in the criminal operation.
