Poland’s security coordinator confirms secret meeting with CIA Director John Ratcliffe in Warsaw to discuss European and global security.
Confirmation of CIA Director’s Visit
“In recent days in Warsaw, we met with CIA Director John Ratcliffe. We discussed security issues in Europe and the world and emphasized the very good alliance cooperation between the special services of Poland and USA,” stated Tomasz Siemoniak, coordinator of special services, on Friday afternoon on the X portal.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe also held a conversation with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
Secret Visit Information
The information about the CIA head’s secret visit to Poland was first reported on Friday by RMF FM correspondent Paweł Żuchowski. “The CIA head visited Poland on a secret visit – I learned from my Washington sources,” reported Żuchowski on the X portal.
The Ministry of National Defense, to which we addressed for comment on these unofficial reports on Friday afternoon, asked for questions to be sent via email. Meanwhile, spokesman for Tomasz Siemoniak, Jacek Dobrzyński, told us he had no knowledge of such a meeting.
CIA’s Role
“CIA is an agency of the US government that provides the president, the National Security Council, and other decision-makers with objective intelligence information about foreign countries and global problems to help them make decisions regarding national security,” reads the official Central Intelligence Agency website.
