City Guards Hand Over Wanted Man to Police

On December 17, city guards on Konopnicka Street in Warsaw found a 45‑year‑old man sleeping in an apartment stairwell and handed him over to police.

Encounter in the Stairwell

Workers at one of the buildings on Konopnicka Street noticed a sleeping man on the stairwell on December 17 and immediately notified the city guard.

Initial Response by Guards

Guard officers from the I Field Division arrived promptly. They entered the stairwell to find the man still asleep. Once awakened, he did not resist and cooperated, following the guards to an ambulance. He had no identification documents with him.

Identity Confirmation Reveals Fugitive Status

Police officers who examined the man’s personal data revealed that he is 45 years old and a resident of Krakow. He is wanted for serving a sentence of imprisonment and had fled from the Lesser Poland region to Warsaw.

Transfer to Krakow

After completing the necessary paperwork, the local guards handed the man over to the police, who will provide for his return to Krakow.
