Warsaw police conducted “Clean Holidays 2026” to enhance safety for children and youth during winter holidays. The operation focused on combating drug crime and apprehending individuals evading justice.
The operation was specifically scheduled for the winter holiday period, which is particularly sensitive from a safety perspective for minors.
Police Deployment
A total of 2,691 police officers participated in “Clean Holidays 2026,” including 2,056 from prevention units and 635 from operational units.
The operation was conducted daily, covering both public spaces and locations identified as potentially linked to drug trafficking or the presence of wanted individuals.
Arrests and Charges
As a result of the operation, 224 people were arrested, including 67 suspected of drug-related offenses. These individuals faced 63 charges, primarily under the law on counteracting drug addiction.
Parallel intensive search activities led to the arrest of 144 individuals evading justice, including those wanted based on arrest warrants, orders for production, and cases involving minors outside institutional control.
Preventive Measures
Against the arrested individuals, 16 preventive measures were applied, including temporary detention, police supervision, and measures for minors.
Police responded to all violations of the law, with special attention to situations where adult behavior could pose a threat to minors.
Drug Seizures
During the operation, police secured over 13 kilograms of narcotic and psychotropic substances, including marijuana, amphetamine, mephedrone, MDMA, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, LSD, and products containing THC (oils, gummies, cookies).
Operational Results
During the operation, police conducted 174 searches of real and movable property and checked 879 locations where drug trafficking might occur.
“Clean Holidays 2026” had not only a detective character but also preventive and reconnaissance nature. The collected information and experiences will allow for more effective planning of future initiatives targeting drug crime.
