A non‑fatal vehicle collision on Domaniewska Street in Mokotów on November 13 resulted in an intoxicated passenger‑van driver’s arrest for a 1.9‑promille blood alcohol level.
Incident Location and Timing
A collision involving a Citroën and an Opel took place on Domaniewska street near the intersection with Postępu at approximately 15:30 on November 13 in the Mokotów district.
Sequence of Events
The foreign driver of the passenger‑van was moving from Suwak toward Postępu when the Citroën, traveling in the opposite direction, entered reverse and struck the side of his vehicle. The Citroën driver initially dismissed the situation but later told authorities that the van driver should himself call the police if he wanted the matter examined.
Police Investigation
Police officers conducted routine checks of documents and sobriety. A breathalyzer test confirmed the van driver was sober, while the Citroën driver tested at over 1.9 promille.
Legal Consequences
The 42‑year‑old Polish citizen was arrested, had her licence seized, and the Citroën was towed to a police lot. She will now appear before a court to answer for the offence.
