Concrete Mixer Collides with Picanto at Teatr Powszechny; Driver Fined 2,000 PLN and Given 10 Points

On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 15:57, a concrete mixer collided with a Kia Picanto near Teatr Powszechny on Zamoyskiego Street, sparking a police investigation and a 2,000‑PLN fine for the truck driver.

Collision Details

A concrete mixer struck a Kia Picanto traveling in its lane on Zamoyskiego Street, between the Public Theatre and the former Wedel factory, on December 3, 2025, at 15:57. The impact turned the Picanto and pushed it onto the central lane, creating a risk for other drivers on the busy Grochowska section.

Victim’s Account

The Picanto owner reported that the mixer hit her car while it was moving correctly, and that the collision force rotated her vehicle onto the middle of the road. She expressed outrage at the driver’s attempt to blame the police for the accident and described the mixer’s driver as trying to deflect responsibility.

Police Investigation

Responding officers conducted inquiries, during which the mixer driver claimed that the Picanto driver was at fault. However, the victim alleged that he was lying to the police. The investigation was supported by city‑monitoring footage.

Role of City Surveillance

Video recordings from municipal cameras unambiguously showed the mixer entering the lane of the correctly moving Picanto, confirming the mixture’s fault and overriding conflicting testimonies.

Driver’s Penalty

Following the investigation, the mixer driver was issued a 2,000‑PLN fine and a 10‑point penalty for violating traffic regulations.
