CONGRESS CLASH: TRUMP ATTACKS DEMOCRATS, CALLS THEM “CRAZY”

During his State of the Union address, President Trump clashed with Democrats over immigration and the Ukraine war.

State of the Union Address Disruptions

Donald Trump delivered his annual State of the Union address on Wednesday, February 25th at 3 PM Polish time. During his speech, he addressed politicians from the Democratic Party, inviting them to cooperate with his administration. He criticized Democrats for not standing up when he said that the first duty of the US government is to protect American citizens, not illegal immigrants.

The speech was disrupted by Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, who shouted at Trump to reveal all documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein affair. Trump responded by saying “These people are crazy, I’m telling you” and pointed to the section of the hall where Democrats were sitting.

Democratic Congressman’s Protest

Democratic Congressman Al Green brought a banner with the slogan “Black people are not monkeys” to the event. The banner referred to a recording showing characters with heads of Barack and Michelle Obama, which Trump had published in early February on Truth Social. Security removed Green from the hall before the American president began his speech.

Trump’s Policy Highlights

Trump claimed that under his leadership, the US has entered a golden age, citing increased job numbers, lowered inflation and drug prices, and a secured southern border. He also stated that during the first ten months of his presidency, he ended eight armed conflicts and announced further actions to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Notably, although Trump delivered his speech on the fourth anniversary of the outbreak of war in Ukraine, he did not mention this fact or condemn Russian aggression during his address.

Special Guests

Among the guests invited by Trump were the parents of Sarah Beckstrom, a National Guard soldier shot dead last November, and the widow of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, who was murdered last September. Trump also invited the American ice hockey team, which won a gold medal at this year’s Olympic Games in Italy, receiving standing ovations from both Republicans and Democrats.
