Construction Worker Arrested After Driving Loader While Intoxicated

A 29-year-old construction machinery operator was apprehended in Marki after police observed him purchasing alcohol and operating a loader on public roads while under the influence.

Drunk Driving on Public Roads

An officer from the Wołomin Road Traffic Department, while off-duty, observed a man purchase alcohol before boarding a construction loader and driving toward Kmicica Street in Marki. The operator’s behavior raised immediate suspicion, prompting an official intervention.

Arrest and Provocative Behavior

Upon stopping the machinery, police confirmed the 29-year-old was intoxicated, with a blood alcohol level nearing 0.5 promille. The man acted provocatively, waving small bottles of alcohol at the police body camera upon exiting the vehicle.

Legal Consequences Pending

In addition to driving under the influence, the man lacked the required license to operate such machinery. He faces a substantial fine, a driving ban ranging from six months to three years, and penalty points in court.

Obligation to Remain Sober

Authorities reminded the public that construction machinery operators are legally obligated to remain completely sober while performing their duties.
