A man suspected of stealing a courier’s van died after crashing it during a police chase in Miłosław, Poland on January 19.
Fatal Accident During Police Chase
A man suspected of stealing a Ford Transit delivery van belonging to a courier company was killed on Monday, January 19, after crashing the vehicle during a police chase. The incident occurred around 14:30 when municipal services began pursuing the stolen vehicle in Miłosław.
Driver Thrown from Vehicle
According to police reports, the force of impact with a tree was so severe that the driver was literally thrown from the vehicle. Despite the collision being survivable initially, the man suffered cardiac arrest minutes later, and despite resuscitation attempts, could not be saved.
Investigation Underway
Police authorities in Września and Poznań are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. The stolen vehicle was first noticed by a municipal monitoring operator in Kórnik, Greater Poland Voivodeship, who alerted authorities.
