Court Enforcement at a Turning Point: Higher Fees and New Case Allocation Rules

Polish Ministry of Justice plans fee increases and case distribution changes amid financial struggles of enforcement offices.

Rising Costs for Enforcement Offices

For years, enforcement fees have remained at the same level, while the costs of running offices have been steadily increasing. Some enforcement offices are in a very difficult situation, with 70 of them facing closure.

Proposed Legal Changes

The Ministry of Justice is working on two laws: from February 28, 2018, on enforcement costs (current version: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 377) and from March 22, 2018, on court enforcement officers (current version: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1458 with amendments).

Planned Fee Increases

According to information provided to DGP, the Ministry plans to increase enforcement fees and change the distribution of cases.
