Polish court has ordered a re-examination of institutional responsibility for the death of 8-year-old Kamil from Częstochowa.
Court Decision to Re-examine Case
On Thursday (January 15), the District Court in Kielce accepted the appeal of the representatives. In this way, investigators will once again deal with the case of institutional responsibility for the death of Kamil from Częstochowa.
This concerns the actions of the courts, prosecution, police and social workers in this case. At the same time, the appeal regarding doctors and teachers was dismissed. The ruling is final.
Indictments Against Four Individuals
On May 8, 2025, the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Gdańsk submitted an indictment to the District Court in Częstochowa against four people connected to the death of 8-year-old Kamil.
The charges include the boy’s mother Magdalena B., stepfather David B., as well as Aneta J. and Wojciech J. David B. was charged with “the murder of his 8-year-old stepson Kamil M. committed under recidivist conditions, with particular cruelty.”
Mother and Stepfather Face Multiple Charges
Magdalena B. was charged with “assisting her husband David B. in the murder of her 8-year-old son Kamil by leaving the victim in a state of direct danger to life.”
The woman was also charged with “assisting David B. in physical and psychological abuse with particular cruelty towards 8-year-old Kamil M. and 7-year-old Fabian M.” Aneta J. and Wojciech J. were charged with “failing to assist 8-year-old Kamil M., who was in a situation threatening direct danger to life.”
Boy Died in Hospital
8-year-old Kamil died in hospital, prompting the extensive legal proceedings and institutional review.
