The second charge pertains to receiving bribes from multiple individuals from September 2020 to October 2025, with investigators totaling the amount at a minimum of 129,000 zloty.

Broader Investigation

The case involves 18 suspects who collectively face 34 charges. These include accepting and providing bribes to public officials and laundering money derived from criminal activity. Former Deputy Mayor of Częstochowa Bartłomiej S. is among the suspects.

Party Response

Krzysztof M., a member of The Left, was suspended from the party by its leader, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, following his detention. M. has been Mayor of Częstochowa since 2010 and was previously a lawmaker for the Democratic Left Alliance.
