Court Seizes Mustang From Drunk Driver; Police Plan to Use It Against Road Offenders

On 23 September 2025 the Ciechanów District Court sentenced Kamil S. to a fine of 3 000 PLN, a 3‑year driving ban, 5 000 PLN in monetary restitution and legal costs, and ordered the forfeiture of a red Ford Mustang.

Investigation Overview

The Ciechanów District Prosecutor’s Office supervised the investigation of the 19 April 2025 incident in Ślubowo, Sońsk district. The driver, with a blood alcohol level of 2.28‰, was operating a passenger car Ford Mustang.

Vehicle Seizure and Value

The court deemed mandatory forfeiture of the vehicle because the driver’s alcohol concentration exceeded 1.5‰. The Mustang, valued at approximately 150 000 PLN, was seized and handed over to the state treasury.

Police Transfer and Intended Use

The prosecutor requested that the seized Mustang be transferred to the Main Police Headquarters so that the police could use the fast, powerful car in road‑law enforcement operations against serious traffic offenders.
