The four-day CPAC conference begins Wednesday in Texas, with Polish President Karol Nawrocki scheduled to speak, but a planned meeting with Donald Trump has been called off.
CPAC Conference and Trump’s Absence
The four-day CPAC conference commences on Wednesday, March 25th, in Texas. Polish President Karol Nawrocki is among the scheduled speakers, intending to deliver remarks on Polish-American relations.
Polish Radio reported that Donald Trump will not attend this year’s CPAC conference.
Trump’s Focus on Iran Conflict
This year’s CPAC takes place against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict between the USA and Israel and Iran, which began on February 28th. Polish Radio reported, citing a White House official, that Trump is unable to attend due to his commitments to the conflict with Iran and other urgent matters.
Impact on Planned Meeting
Consequently, the anticipated meeting between President Nawrocki and Donald Trump will not occur. Earlier reports suggested the leaders might meet during the conference. Rafał Leśkiewicz, the President’s spokesperson, indicated that a meeting could still be arranged in the future.
President Nawrocki’s US Visit
President Nawrocki is scheduled to arrive in the USA on Friday, March 27th. In addition to participating in CPAC, he will visit an F-35 aircraft factory on Saturday and meet with the Polish diaspora in Dallas and surrounding areas on Sunday.
Notable Attendees at CPAC 2026
Besides President Nawrocki, former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will also attend. Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss and Željka Cvijanović, the former President of Republika Srpska (who has been subject to US sanctions due to threats of violating the statehood agreement of Bosnia and Herzegovina), are also expected to be present.
Reza Pahlavi and Other International Figures
Reza Pahlawi, the son of the last Shah of Iran residing in the USA, is also expected to attend. AFP reports that Pahlawi intends to use the event to advocate for regime change in Iran, having declared his intention to lead a change in power following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. He is a known figure in Western media, promoted by political circles in the United States and Israel.
US Administration and Controversial Figures
Representatives from the current US administration, conservative politicians, activists, journalists, YouTubers, influencers, and international guests will also participate. Confirmed attendees include Tom Homan, known as “Trump’s border czar,” and John Coale, the special envoy for Belarus. Former Trump strategist Steve Bannon is also scheduled to speak, a decision that has drawn criticism due to his documented ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Bolsonaro Family Presence
The sons of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who has been sentenced to over 27 years in prison for planning an attempted coup, are also planned to be in attendance.
