About Cranes
Crane is one of Poland’s largest and most dignified birds, known for its long neck and loud trumpeting call. These migratory species travel thousands of kilometres between nesting sites and wintering grounds, nesting in wetlands such as marshes and peat bogs and feeding on both plants and small animals.
Significance of Encounter
It is highly unusual to encounter a weakened crane in an urban setting, highlighting the unexpected encounters between wildlife and city life.
