Accident Details
The accident occurred on Saturday, February 21 before 9 AM on the S3 road near the villages of Sucha Górna and Kaźmierzów (Lower Silesian Voivodeship). Six vehicles collided, resulting in 11 injured people. Five were transported to hospitals, with three in serious condition.
Unfolding Incident
Initially, a collision of three vehicles was reported. Later, services established that on the road towards Zielona Góra, another road incident occurred. Firefighters from Polkowic described on Facebook how one driver stopped on the median strip to help the injured, but was then hit by a truck whose trailer blocked two lanes of traffic.
Traffic Disruption
The S3 near the accident site is completely blocked. A traffic jam of approximately three kilometers has formed on the road towards Legnica. The General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways expects that difficulties may last until 12:00 PM.
