Poland 2050 Club held an emergency meeting to discuss motions, including one to recall Chairman Pawel Śliz.
Emergency Meeting Called
Poland 2050 Club convened on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. During the session, several motions were submitted, including one for the removal of chairman Śliz and one for a change to the Sejm regulations.
Motions Discussed
The club discussed changing the regulations to alter the required number of votes needed to replace the club leader. Currently, it requires three-fifths of the votes; opponents of Śliz want to change it to a simple majority.
MP Aleksandra Leo stated to journalists after the meeting: “We want to put the chairman to verification, there is a majority of the club for this.”
Key Figures Behind the Move
Among the MPs calling for a change in club leadership are Minister of Climate and Environment Paulina Hennig-Kloska, MPs Aleksandra Leo, Ewa Szymanowska, Elżbieta Burkiewicz, Barbara Oliwiecka, Rafał Kasprzyk, and Ryszard Petru.
No Decisions Made
None of the motions were considered, including the vote on Pawel Śliz’s dismissal. The club concluded its meeting before 11:00 AM, just before the start of the Sejm session.
