A 24-year-old Ukrainian national is in critical condition after being struck by a ride-hailing vehicle while crossing Al. Krakowska outside of a designated pedestrian zone late Friday night.

The collision occurred around 11:40 p.m. on Friday on Al. Krakowska, near the Institute of Aviation in the Włochy district. Emergency services were alerted to a serious accident involving a pedestrian and a Toyota Prius operating as a ride-hailing vehicle.
Details of the Collision
Preliminary findings indicate that the 23-year-old Uzbekistani driver hit the 24-year-old pedestrian who was crossing the road in an unauthorized area. The driver was sober and held a valid driver’s license at the time of the incident.
Emergency Response and Traffic Impact
The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Traffic Department secured the scene and conducted an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. The incident caused traffic disruptions, with two lanes of Al. Krakowska blocked toward the city center during the police operation.
