Incident
During a patrol near alcohol stores on Świętokrzyska Street, the 25‑year‑old cyclist stopped and entered a shop by the ONU roundabout after 10 p.m. Within a minute he violently exited, swore and hurled his bicycle in anger.
Alkomat Test
Police, called to the scene, measured the cyclist’s breath and recorded more than 2 per mille of alcohol alarming enough to suggest excessive intoxication, which he admitted after drinking three to four beers earlier.
Legal Implications
Operating a vehicle while intoxicated is a serious offense in Poland, carrying potential imprisonment or a fine not below 2,500 zł. The cyclist was handed over to police for further action.
