Czarzasty Declares Candidacy for Party Chair

Włodzimierz Czarzasty has announced he will run for chairman of the New Left party, following a meeting with provincial leaders and a plan to seek support from the party congress ahead of the Dec 14 conference.

The party’s convention will be held on Sunday, December 14, and Czarzasty took Thursday to inform members of his plans.

Marshal of the Sejm Calls for Unity

Sejm Marshal highlighted that before the convention, leadership candidates should meet to discuss staffing and that divisions, quarrels, and disputes are detrimental to the climate.

After consulting with provincial leaders, Czarzasty announced he will run for party chairman and will submit proposals to the congress for approval.

He suggested Agnieszka Dziemianowicz‑Bąk, Tomasz Trela, and Krzysztof Gawkowski join the party leadership, while Prime Minister Gawkowski would become first deputy chair.

Czarzasty stressed that stability and unity are crucial for the government he helps build, and that debates over the chair should not distract from programmatic goals.
