A dangerous situation occurred on Wednesday, January 28, on the S2 route in Warsaw. Two Ukrainian drivers in heavy goods vehicles transporting hazardous materials stopped before entering the tunnel on the Southern Bypass of Warsaw.

GDDKiA monitoring operators noticed the trucks on camera standing on the emergency lane before the tunnel entrance, heading from Terespol toward the airport. They immediately informed police, who dispatched a patrol to the scene.
Traffic Disruption
Due to the vehicles’ size and cargo nature, traffic had to be temporarily suspended before the tunnel entrance. Police officers safely turned back approaching vehicles, directing them to the nearest exit at Branicki Street, while GDDKiA informed drivers of disruptions via electronic overhead signs.
