Davos: Digital Allies Needed Now

Panel Discussion Focus

Deputy Minister Rafał Rosiński participated in a panel titled “Rivalry Under Pressure: Finance, Digitalization and Geo-Economic Strategy on Europe’s Eastern Flank” at the Polish Business Hub in Davos. The discussion also featured Estonian Minister of Economy and Industry Erkki Keldo and Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Finance Janus Kizenevic.

Regional Cooperation Essential

Commenting on the panel topics, particularly digitalization cooperation, Rosiński emphasized that collaboration in the region is necessary. He stated that given the current geopolitical context, such cooperation is inevitable and must be pursued. The panel strongly echoed the necessity of this action.

Existing Digital Projects

Cooperation among Central and Eastern European countries in digitalization is already underway. Rosiński noted a project submitted to the European Commission for funding to build an artificial intelligence gigafactory, developed jointly with countries like Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia.

Poland’s Digital Success

The World Economic Forum also highlights Poland’s significant successes in digitizing public services in the region, significantly boosting its economic development. Rosiński stated that modern economic growth is unimaginable without innovation, AI, and new technologies, and that international exchange, collaboration, and cooperation between academia, business, and NGOs can lead to success.
