Polish former freak fights fighter ‘Great Bu’, linked to crime, was detained in Hamburg on a European arrest warrant on September 12 and refused voluntary extradition to Poland.
Detention in Hamburg and Extradition Refusal
Patryk M., known as “Great Bu”, a former freak fights combatant connected to criminal circles and a personal acquaintance of Polish President Karol Nawrocki, was arrested on September 12 at Hamburg airport under a European arrest warrant and declined voluntary extradition to his home country. He was taken to the local detention center and now awaits extradition to Poland, where he faces charges including participation in an organised crime group.
Application for a Temporary Extradition Order
In Lublin, lawyer Krzysztof Ways filed for a temporary extradition order and offered a financial guarantee aimed at allowing the suspect to return to Poland without immediate imprisonment. The court rejected the application in mid‑October, leading Ways to appeal to the Lublin Court of Appeal.
Accusations Against ‘Great Bu’
The prosecution alleges that Patryk M. participated in an organised crime group active from mid‑2017 to 2018 in Poland, the Netherlands, and Spain, involved in producing and trafficking large quantities of drugs such as cocaine, amphetamines, hashish, and mefedrone. He also faces charges of burglary and unauthorized modification of vehicle identification markings.
