Disruption Acts in Poland: Prosecutor General Issues Search Warrants

Polish prosecutors have released search warrants and a European Arrest Warrant request for suspects involved in railway sabotage incidents in November.

Search Warrants Sent to Police

Attorney General Przemysław Nowak announced that search warrants will be dispatched to the police forces, and a court application for a European Arrest Warrant is also being prepared.

The warrants will publicise the identities of suspected men; the list will appear on the capital police website.

Disruption Incidents on Railway Lines

In mid‑November, sabotage damaged railway tracks in Mika on the Warsaw‑East to Dorohusk line and the traction network in Gołąb on the same route.

Investigators say the culprits, Ukrainian citizens Oleksandr K. and Yevhenii I., were acting on behalf of Russian services and have fled to Belarus.

One Individual Detained

On Monday, the National Prosecutor’s Office informed that Volodymyr B. was charged with aiding Yevhenii I. in September when he was to transport him to a planned sabotage zone and assist with reconnaissance.

Volodymyr B. has since been arrested.
