Police in Lubelskie province launch an operation in Żelizna after a man spotted a drone‑like object on Dec 14.

On Sunday, December 14 after 3 p.m., the Lubelskie Police announced that at about 1 p.m. in Żelizna a man on a forest walk noticed a drone‑like structure. Police from the Radzyń Podlaski County Police Headquarters secured the site.

The officers added that the relevant authorities were notified, including the Military Gendarmerie in Białe Podlaskie and the Radzyń Podlaski District Prosecutor’s Office.

The largest operation involving the Military Gendarmerie began after 19 Russian drones entered Polish airspace the night of September 9‑10. About 200 soldiers and over 50 vehicles were deployed to protect all crash sites.

Command warned that the drones could pose health and life risks; personnel were instructed not to approach or move them. Each incident should be reported immediately to 112 or the nearest police unit.

The Government Security Centre announced on Monday, December 15 that “Syrena‑25” alarm siren tests would begin in the Mazovian Voivodeship from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Authorities urged residents to remain calm; the tests are part of efforts to improve crisis management and civil protection.
