The Incident
At about 8 a.m. on 1 Sierpnia Street in the Włochy district, a dog belonging to a female passenger on city bus line 154 bit a woman travelling with the bus. The attack caused injuries to her limb.
Medical Response
An emergency medical team arrived at the scene. The 44‑year‑old passenger was examined, her wound dressed, and did not require hospital transport.
Dog Owner’s Fine
Police identified the dog owner as a 58‑year‑old woman riding the same bus. She was charged under Article 77 of the Code of Offences for failing to maintain adequate precautions while keeping the dog, and was fined 500 PLN.
Passenger’s Account
A passenger described the event: the dog, an unrestrained shepherd‑type, attacked her and a small dog on her lap, continuing to bite until help was called. She urged other dog owners to secure their pets.
