Double Murder Discovered

Between Wednesday night and Thursday night (February 25-26), police received a report that in one house in the village of Kadłub (Strzelce Opolskie municipality) there might be the bodies of two people. The doors in the building were locked, they had to be forced open. At the scene, it turned out that a double murder had indeed occurred.

Victims Identified

In the house where the crime was committed, four people lived: an elderly woman, her granddaughter with a 38-year-old partner, and a 17-year-old great-grandson. The victims are, according to unofficial information, the senior woman and the 38-year-old man, the teenager’s stepfather.

Investigation Details

Stanisław Bar, spokesman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Opole, told “Gazeta Wyborcza” that numerous stab and slash wounds were found on the bodies. It is not excluded that an axe was used to kill these people, but it could also have been a knife. Investigative proceedings are underway to determine who is the murderer.
