Double Murder: Man Turns Himself In to Police

In Raciąż, a 29-year-old man reported killing two people, his grandparents, to police.

In Raciąż in the Płońsk district, a double murder occurred. The suspected 29-year-old man called the emergency number 112 himself, informing that he had killed two people and requesting the arrival of authorities. The report came in on Wednesday, February 18, at approximately 22:40. Upon arrival at the specified address, police found the 29-year-old man at a single-family home.

Victims Identified

Inside the building, police discovered the bodies of two people: a 72-year-old woman and an 86-year-old man. Preliminary findings indicated that the victims were related to the 29-year-old, and the District Prosecutor’s Office in Płock confirmed that they were his grandparents, with whom he lived in the same house.

Arrest and Investigation

After the arrest, the 29-year-old was taken to the Płońsk Police Station, where further actions involving him are being carried out. A spokesperson for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Płock, Bartosz Maliszewski, also stated that the man was sober at the time of his arrest. According to the prosecutor, the man’s father is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence.

Ongoing Police Work

At the scene in Raciąż, criminal police officers, an investigative team, and forensic technicians are working. Police emphasize that it is too early at this stage to discuss motives and the detailed course of events; according to the information provided, the man has not yet been charged.
