Drama Near Łódź: 67-Year-Old Found Dead in Coal Feeder

67-year-old man found unconscious in a boiler feeder near Łódź; despite rescue efforts, he was pronounced dead.

Man Discovered in Coal Feeder

On Monday, January 22, around 5:00 PM, rescue services received a report of an accident that occurred in the village of Piorunów near Łódź. According to media findings, after arriving at the scene, firefighters found an unconscious 67-year-old – the torso of his body was in the feeder of a boiler for eco-coal.

Rescue Attempts Unsuccessful

Despite rescue efforts, the man was pronounced dead. Six fire units and a helicopter of the Air Ambulance intervened at the scene. For 40 minutes, rescuers fought for the man’s life, but despite the actions taken, the 67-year-old died.

Tragic Accident

According to media findings, the event was classified as an unfortunate accident. The man was found stuck in the coal feeder mechanism of a boiler used for eco-coal heating.
