A 10-year-old girl was struck by a car in Cholerzyn, Poland, on January 20, and is fighting for her life.

Dramatic Accident in Cholerzyn

The incident occurred on Tuesday, January 20, in the village of Cholerzyn (Kraków county, Małopolskie voivodeship). According to “Gazeta Krakowska,” a car driver hit a 10-year-old girl who was crossing the road. The Air Rescue Service was called to the scene and transported the child to the hospital.

The child’s health condition is serious. She was transported to the hospital with a threat to life, according to the press officer of the Kraków District Police Station, st. asp. Katarzyna Boroń.

Driver Was Sober

The 45-year-old driver was not under the influence of alcohol. Police, prosecutors, and road accident experts are at the scene investigating the circumstances and details of the incident.

Road Safety Reminder

As a reminder, the Gliwice police previously emphasized that “each of us has an impact on road safety. Adhering to speed limits, adapting driving to weather conditions and road infrastructure as well as vigilance in critical places – these are the basic duties of every driver.”
