Driver Crashes Into Sign and Barrier on S7, Causing Major Delays

At 5 p.m. on the S7 near Szczytniki, a Citroën heading toward Warsaw collided with a traffic sign and barriers, blocking both lanes and injuring two passengers.

Circumstances of the Accident

At 5:15 p.m. on the S7 near Szczytniki in Płońsk County, a passenger car of the Citroën brand was traveling southbound toward Warsaw when its driver struck a traffic sign and the following barrier.

Injuries

The vehicle was carrying four people. Two occupants sustained injuries, were treated on the spot, and were transported to a hospital for further medical care.

Roadworks and Restrictions

Emergency and traffic services are on the scene. Because of rescue operations and securing the site, the right lane toward Warsaw and the left lane toward Gdańsk are blocked where service vehicles are parked. Delays are expected to last for an extended period.
