Driver Fails to Stop at Crossing, Collides with Train

A 40-year-old woman was hospitalized after failing to stop at a railway crossing and colliding with a freight train in Siedlce.

Incident Details

Yesterday evening (January 21) at an unprotected railway crossing at Piaskowa Street in Siedlce, a passenger car collided with a freight train traveling towards Sokołów Podlaski.

The 40-year-old driver failed to comply with the STOP sign and the St. Andrew’s cross warning sign, resulting in her vehicle striking the side of the locomotive.

The driver was taken to the hospital with injuries, while the train driver was unharmed. No other people were injured in the incident.

Traffic Disruptions

Following the collision, there were temporary traffic disruptions at the scene as police and rescue services responded to the incident.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
