A Polish fleeing driver discarded a safe containing 80,000 złoty during a high-speed police pursuit near Warsaw.
Police Pursuit and Evidence Discovery
A Ford driver evading police threw a safe filled with cash and a mobile phone out of his car window during a chase in the suburban area of Tarczyn near Warsaw. The 24-year-old resident of the Małopolskie voivodeship was quickly apprehended by police officers from Piaseczno after failing to stop for a routine traffic check.
Stolen Items and Criminal Connections
During a search of the vehicle, police discovered a hammer and license plates that had been reported stolen. Authorities also recovered the discarded items—a mobile phone and a safe containing 80,000 złoty—which the suspect attempted to dispose of as they were believed to be connected to other criminal activities.
Attempted Murder Charges
The arrested man was found to be wanted by police from Warsaw and Zielonki in connection with an incident at a prestigious hotel. The 24-year-old allegedly entered the hotel armed with a knife and attempted to kill a guest. During a struggle, the victim was stabbed twice. The man now faces charges of attempted murder, which carries a potential life sentence. A court has ordered a three-month pre-trial detention at the prosecutor’s request.
