On Thursday, January 15th, around 8:00 PM, police in Żyrardów received information about a pedestrian being hit at a crossing on Jaktorowska Street. The driver failed to provide assistance to the injured person and fled the scene. The victim was an 18-year-old Ukrainian citizen who sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital for further diagnosis and treatment.
Apprehension and Alcohol Test
Thanks to the quick reaction of witnesses, the man was apprehended and subsequently handed over to the police. After an alcohol test, it was found that the resident of Żyrardów was intoxicated. The device showed 2.7‰ alcohol in his system.
