On the night of November 7, a 40‑year‑old driver tried to drive up Dzikowiec’s steep slope near Boguszów‑Gorce, lost control, and fell.
Attempt to Drive Up the Mountain
According to TVN24, on the night of November 7, a 40‑year‑old man drove a four‑wheel‑drive vehicle toward Dzikowiec, a ski‑hill near Boguszów‑Gorce in Lower Silesia. He had just taken the car from a mechanic and wanted to “test its capabilities.” The police were alerted by his wife who was alarmed by the phone’s location data.
Vehicle Careened Down the Slope
The driver tried to climb the steepest slope in Poland, where the car lost traction and began to careen downhill. Police officer Tomasz Kwiatkowski said the vehicle slid roughly 200 m before stopping a few metres away.
Serious Injuries Sustained
Initial investigations show the man disembarked as the vehicle slid, suffering probable spinal injury and limb paralysis. He remained conscious and was taken to the ambulance, then to the LPR. The incident investigators did not test him for alcohol at the scene because his condition was so severe.
