Incident Details

The drone fell on the 2nd Electronic Warfare Center in Przasnysz on January 28, landing approximately 70 meters from an ammunition storage facility. The unit specializes in reconnaissance and electronic warfare operations.

According to sources, the drone may have been a reconnaissance device attempting to read antenna field equipment. The duty service reportedly observed the drone helplessly before it fell.

Security Breach

Following the drone’s fall, an error was made when personnel brought it into a building, potentially allowing it to continue operating and collecting data. According to protocol, the device should have been covered with a net or tarp and not moved.

Military Investigation

The Military Gendarmerie is conducting an investigation into the incident. According to a statement released on February 2, preliminary findings indicate the drone was a toy device without a memory card or SIM card, and it caused no damage to the facility.

Further proceedings are currently ongoing as authorities continue to examine the circumstances of the incident.
