Drug-Impaired Driver Crashes Into Bus While Fleeing Police

A 23-year-old Moldovan national was arrested in Warsaw after colliding with a city bus while attempting to evade a traffic stop under the influence of narcotics.

Dangerous Evasion Attempt

Officers from the Warsaw II District Police Command intercepted a 23-year-old Moldovan national driving erratically on Pulawska Street. When signaled to stop, the driver performed a hazardous lane change, resulting in a collision with a public city bus. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

Illegal Substances and Legal Status

A search of the suspect’s vehicle revealed a bag containing a pink crystalline substance, which the driver admitted was his. Laboratory testing confirmed the substance was mephedrone. Police further discovered that the man lacked a valid driver’s license in Poland and was subject to an existing deportation order and a re-entry ban.

Charges and Deportation Proceedings

The suspect has been charged with drug possession and driving under the influence of psychotropic substances, alongside penalties for causing the road collision. Following these violations, authorities have initiated formal deportation procedures to expel the individual from the Republic of Poland.
