On Friday, January 30, 2026, around 11:00 PM, police and medical rescue team (ZRM) personnel intervened at an address on Matejki Street in Komorów (Pruszków county). During the operation, the physical integrity of a paramedic and a police officer was violated.
According to the information provided, during the proceedings on site, the 50-year-old man violated the bodily integrity of the paramedic, while his 47-year-old partner violated the physical integrity of the police officer. Both were under the clear influence of alcohol.
The man was tested with an alcohol tester and blew over 2 permille. The woman refused the alcohol test, however, as indicated, the odor of alcohol was detectable from her. The couple was arrested. Further proceedings in the case are being conducted by the police under the supervision of a prosecutor.

The Ministry of Justice has informed that as of January 2, 2026, amended regulations have come into force strengthening protection, including for police officers and paramedics, with penalties of 3 months to 5 years imprisonment for attacks on these individuals.
In the same communication, the ministry also pointed to solutions regarding verbal aggression against intervening persons and sanctions for aggressive behavior and disorder in public places, including under the influence of alcohol – depending on the situation, these may include fines ranging from 1000-5000 zł or a 1000 zł ticket.
