A motorist was arrested in Warsaw on Wednesday morning after crashing his Hyundai into a lamppost at Rondo Żaba while registering 1.8 promille of alcohol in his breath.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, June 3, at approximately 9:30 a.m. at the exit toward Św. Wincentego Street. A driver operating a Hyundai struck a street lighting pole located on the roundabout.
Emergency Response and Medical Evaluation
Emergency services, including firefighters, medical rescue teams, and police, were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters secured the area and the vehicle, while paramedics examined the driver, confirming he sustained no injuries during the collision.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Following the medical assessment, police began investigating the circumstances of the crash. A breathalyzer test confirmed the driver’s blood alcohol content at 1.8 promille. The man, who previously held a valid driver’s license, has been detained and will undergo further questioning once sober. His vehicle was towed to a police impound lot.
