Road Incident in Kębłowice
On April 24th, after 9:00 PM, a serious road incident occurred on provincial road number 570 in Kębłowice, Czerwińsk nad Wisłą municipality, Płońsk County, involving a passenger car and an agricultural tractor.
Preliminary findings indicate that the 30-year-old tractor driver was traveling from Naruszewo towards Czerwińsk nad Wisłą. A 31-year-old Opel driver was traveling in the same direction, with approximately 2 per mille of alcohol in his system.
Passenger Condition and Alcohol Levels
The Opel driver was transporting a pregnant passenger who was also under the influence of alcohol (0.5 per mille). The car collided with the rear of the agricultural vehicle.
The Opel passenger was transported to the hospital. All individuals involved in the incident are residents of the Czerwińsk nad Wisłą municipality.
Driver’s Explanation and Arrest
Police on the scene reported that bystanders were leading the Opel driver to the accident site upon their arrival. The man claimed he hadn’t left intentionally, but was searching for his phone, which he said fell during the collision.
He was detained and taken into police custody.
Legal Consequences
The man faces up to 3 years imprisonment, a multi-year driving ban, and a substantial financial penalty for driving under the influence.
Appeal for Road Safety
This incident is another example of extremely irresponsible behavior on the road. Driving under the influence of alcohol poses a real threat to the life and health of not only the driver, but also passengers and other road users.
Authorities appeal for common sense and sobriety behind the wheel, emphasizing that driving after consuming alcohol relinquishes control over the outcome of the journey.
