Drunk Driver Crashes into Tree, Registers 2.4 Promille

A 38-year-old resident of Raciąż municipality was hospitalized with injuries after crashing his car into a tree near Dobrska-Włościany on April 8th.

On Wednesday, April 8th, after 10:00 PM, a police patrol was dispatched to Dobrska-Włościany following a report of a car accident. A damaged Opel was found blocking the road.

Response and Initial Findings

Firefighters and a medical rescue team were already on scene, providing assistance to the 38-year-old driver, from whom the smell of alcohol was detected.

Details of the Crash

Preliminary investigations indicate the driver lost control of the vehicle while traveling towards Starego Gralewa, on a bend in the road. The car left the roadway, struck a tree, and came to rest in the middle of the road, obstructing traffic.

Blood Alcohol Content and Investigation

The driver was transported to the hospital for examination. A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol content exceeding 2.4 promille. Due to inconsistent statements and suspicion that he was driving, a blood sample was taken for further analysis.
