In the night from Saturday to Sunday, a dangerous road incident occurred on Chopin Street in Sochaczew. An intoxicated 29-year-old Ukrainian citizen lost control of a BMW car, knocking down two road signs and a concrete trash can before hitting a tree.
Discovery and Response
A group of people returning home noticed the wrecked BMW with smoke rising. They immediately checked for injuries and called emergency services, who arrived at the scene.
Investigation Results
The driver, who did not require medical attention, had over 2 permille of alcohol in his system. His 35-year-old passenger was hospitalized. Police confiscated the man’s driver’s license despite his initial denial of the offense.

The man faces charges for driving under the influence, an offense punishable by up to 3 years in prison in Poland.
