Drunk Driver with Child Faces Charges in Poland

Polish authorities arrested a 31-year-old man in Przykory on March 17th for driving under the influence with a child in the vehicle.

Alarm and Interception

Garwolin traffic police received a report around 2:30 PM on Tuesday, March 17th, concerning an Audi driver swerving across lanes and suspected of being intoxicated, with a child present in the car.

Officers immediately responded to the report and began searching for the vehicle.

Discovery at the Playground

Police located the described vehicle parked in Przykory, with the 31-year-old owner observed near a playground with a young girl under his care. He exhibited clear signs of intoxication.

Intoxication and Lack of License

A breathalyzer test confirmed a blood alcohol content of over 2 per mille. Further investigation revealed the man did not possess a valid driver’s license.

Child’s Safety Secured

Before transporting the man to the police station, officers ensured the child’s safety by returning her to her mother’s care.

Charges Filed

The 31-year-old was taken into police custody and charged with driving under the influence and endangering a minor’s life and health, given his duty of care.

Potential Sentence

He faces up to 5 years imprisonment if convicted of these offenses.
