On Saturday evening, police in Piaseczno received a report of a drunk driver in Konstancin-Jeziorna. Officers discovered a damaged Dodge on a bicycle lane on Pułaskiego Street, with the 39-year-old woman behind the wheel and her 40-year-old companion in the passenger seat.

A strong smell of alcohol was detected in the vehicle, and an empty vodka bottle was found. The passenger stated that the driver had crashed into a lamppost while leaving a parking lot and then traveled a short distance before stopping on the bicycle lane. The passenger had nearly 2 promille of alcohol in her system.

The driver refused a breathalyzer test and became abusive towards officers when informed of her arrest. She was transported to a hospital in Piaseczno for blood tests to determine her alcohol and drug levels.

Legal Consequences

Tests revealed the driver had nearly 3 promille of alcohol in her system. She now faces criminal charges for DUI and insulting officers, potentially resulting in up to three years in prison.
